Product Description

Product Positioning — What This Line Is and What It Solves

The SPC PVC Flooring Tile Production Line is a twin-screw sheet extrusion line built for one specific product: SPC flooring tile — the rigid-core, dimensionally stable plank that has replaced laminate and LVT floors in a large part of the export housing and commercial-fit-out market.

The line is engineered around the two things that decide whether an SPC program is profitable: rigid-core dimensional stability and consistent output in kg/h. SPC core is a highly filled rigid PVC formulation, and a general-purpose sheet line cannot hold the thickness tolerance, the surface flatness or the production rate the product requires.

What this line is designed for:

  • A double-screw (twin-screw) extrusion platform. The extruder is a twin-screw, full-intermeshing, deep-screw, vented (exhaust) machine — the configuration that gives the mixing and conveying action a filled rigid PVC formulation needs, with devolatilising to remove moisture and volatiles from the compound.

  • Rigid sheet output at flooring width. The line is built around a 980 mm flooring width, which is the working width the SPC tile and plank market is cut from.

  • Thickness range of 2 – 8 mm. That single range covers the whole commercial SPC range — from thin 2 mm commercial tile up to 8 mm heavy-duty plank.

  • Output matched to the model, not guessed. The published model range runs from 650 kg/h on the smallest extruder up to 5000 kg/h on the largest, so production capability is selected against your required annual volume rather than assumed.

  • Automatic, computerised control. The line is supplied as an automatic, computerized set with a PLC-based control system, integrated extruder frame, and an internationally sourced main motor and inverter.

What it produces: SPC flooring tile — and, on the same extruder platform, LVT floor board and wood-plastic tile, so one line can serve more than one product family.

Specifications & Models — What Is Available and How to Choose

Reference Data Note

The figures below are transcribed from the manufacturer's own published data in two separate places on the source page. Where the two places state different figures for the same line, both are shown with their source labelled — one is the model-by-model product table, the other is the product attribute panel. They are not merged, and no third value has been introduced to reconcile them.

Table 1 — Model Range, Capacity and Product Format (Authoritative Product Table)

Reading the capacity figures together. The product table (Table 1) gives the capacity that belongs to each extruder model — 650 kg/h for the 92/188 machine, for example. The attribute panel (Table 2) gives two further line-level figures, 400 – 700 kg/h and 600 – 700 kg/h. These describe the line rather than a single extruder model, and they bracket the 650 kg/h entry of the smallest model. When you request a quotation we will state the figure that applies to the exact configuration quoted.

How to Choose

  • Entry / mid-volume SPC production — the 92/188 or 110/220 extruder, giving 650 kg/h and 1100 – 1500 kg/h respectively

  • High-volume single-line production — the 114, 135 or 145 extruder, from 1100 kg/h up to 3000 kg/h

  • Very large flooring programs — the 175 extruder at 5000 kg/h

  • Thin commercial tile vs thick heavy-duty plank — all models are published with a 2 – 8 mm thickness capability and a 980 mm flooring width, so the choice of model is driven by output, and the plate / roller and die set is what is trimmed to the thicker or thinner end of the range

  • Mixed product family — if the same plant will also produce LVT floor board or wood-plastic tile, tell us at enquiry stage so the extruder, the die and the downstream forming sections are specified together

The full equipment range around this line is described under Board / Sheet Extrusion Line, PVC UV Marble Sheet Making Line, Profile Extrusion Line, Profile Extrusion Line Solution, PC LED Light Cover Extrusion Line and Extruder.

Line Stations in Detail — How the Line Runs

Station 1 — Material Feeding and Compounding

The line is a one-feed, integral-type arrangement: PVC compound is fed into the extruder through a single feed system and processed inside a common, integral frame. Because SPC core is a filled rigid PVC formulation, the feed section and the extruder intake are designed to deliver a consistent, uninterrupted stream — an interrupted feed shows up directly as thickness variation in the finished plank. Powder handling, mixing and material conveying equipment can be quoted with the line from the same factory.

Station 2 — Twin-Screw Extruder (Double-Screw Extruder)

This is the core of the line. The extruder is a twin-screw, full-intermeshing, deep-screw machine:

  • Twin-screw, full intermeshing — the two screws intermesh completely, giving positive conveying and mixing, which is what a highly filled rigid PVC compound requires in order to be melted and homogenised without dead spots

  • Deep screw channel — a deeper channel gives the volumetric capacity needed for a filled formulation and reduces the shear the compound sees, which protects the material from thermal degradation

  • Vented (exhaust) design — volatiles and residual moisture are removed through the vent, which is what keeps the extruded core free of bubbles and holds the density of the plank consistent

  • Drive and control — a 75 kW line power with an internationally sourced brand-name main motor and inverter, operating on 380 V, under automatic, computerized PLC control

Station 3 — Sheet Die Head

The extruder discharges into a sheet die set sized for the flooring width. The die set and the downstream forming rolls are selected together with the extruder model so that the melt is spread evenly across the full width before it is formed — an unmatched die is the most common cause of edge-to-centre thickness variation on an SPC line.

Station 4 — Calibration and Forming

The line is a sheet extruder, and the sheet is calibrated to the required thickness and surface while it is still formable. The published product range is 2 – 8 mm thick and 980 mm wide; the forming equipment is set to your thickness and surface requirement, and to the embossed or smooth finish your market asks for.

Station 5 — Cooling

Cooling is what locks the flatness in. On a rigid PVC sheet line the cooling section is matched to the line speed and sheet thickness, so a thicker plank or a faster line is compensated by cooling length rather than by running the line slower. The cooling section is part of the quoted scope and its configuration is agreed against the model you select.

Station 6 — Haul-Off, Cutting and Stacking

After cooling, the sheet is pulled through at a speed synchronised to the extruder output, cut to the required plank length, and stacked for the downstream press, coating and profiling operations of an SPC flooring plant. Take-off and cutting units are included in the line scope.

Station 7 — Central Control

The line runs as an automatic, computerized set with a PLC-based control system, from a single control cabinet covering extruder temperature zones, drive speeds and the take-off synchronisation. Operators work from one control point for the whole line.

Applications — Industries, Products and Working Conditions

Market / industry Typical product from this line Why the line fits
Residential flooring SPC rigid-core plank and tile, 2 – 8 mm, 980 mm working width Twin-screw extrusion of filled rigid PVC gives stability and flatness
Commercial fit-out Commercial-grade SPC tile, heavy-duty plank Same extruder platform, thicker end of the 2 – 8 mm range
Export housing and renovation Standard SPC flooring programs at volume Model range from 650 kg/h to 5000 kg/h matches program size
LVT and flexible flooring LVT floor board Published as a product of the same line

Working conditions. The line is installed as a set — feed system, twin-screw extruder with integral frame, sheet die, forming and calibration section, cooling section, haul-off and cutting — on a levelled industrial floor with a footprint of about 25 × 3 × 3 m and a machine weight of about 25 tons, so the floor loading and the foundation should be checked against that. It requires a 380 V three-phase supply sized for the main power and the motor capacity, cooling water for the cooling section, compressed air for the plant and a dust-controlled area for the powder handling section. Floor plan and layout drawings are supplied in advance so that the foundation, wiring, piping and material flow can be prepared before the line arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What exactly does this line produce?

SPC PVC flooring tile — rigid-core SPC flooring plank and tile, 2 – 8 mm thick, at a 980 mm working width. The same extruder platform is also published for LVT floor board and wood-plastic tile, so one line can serve more than one product family in a flooring plant.

2. Why is a twin-screw extruder used instead of a single-screw machine?

Because SPC core is a highly filled rigid PVC compound. The extruder is a twin-screw, full-intermeshing, deep-screw, vented (exhaust) machine: full intermeshing gives positive conveying and thorough mixing of the filled compound, the deep screw channel provides volumetric capacity without excessive shear, and the vent removes moisture and volatiles so the core is free of bubbles and holds a consistent density. A single-screw machine does not give that combination.

3. What is the capacity of the line?

Capacity is model-dependent. The published product table gives 650 kg/h for the 92/188 extruder, 1100 – 1500 kg/h for 110/220, 1100 kg/h for 114, 1750 – 2200 kg/h for 135, 3000 kg/h for 145 and 5000 kg/h for 175. The line attribute panel separately states a line-level capacity of 400 – 700 kg/h and a production capacity of 600 – 700 kg/h, which bracket the smallest model. The applicable figure is confirmed in the quotation for the exact configuration.

4. Which model should I choose for my annual volume?

Select on output: 92/188 or 110/220 for entry and mid-volume programs (650 kg/h and 1100 – 1500 kg/h), 114 135 145 for high-volume single-line production (1100 – 3000 kg/h), and the 175 extruder for very large flooring programs (5000 kg/h). Send us your annual square-metre target and plank specification and we will match the model to it.

5. What thickness and width can the line run?

Thickness: 2 – 8 mm and flooring width: 980 mm, both published identically across all six extruder models. This covers the commercial SPC range from thin commercial tile to heavy-duty plank. The die set, forming section and cooling section are configured for the thickness band and surface finish you actually run.

6. What is the power supply requirement?

380 V, with a line power of 75 kW and a motor capacity of 90 kW / 110 kW as published. Cooling water for the cooling section and compressed air for the plant are also required. Please confirm your plant supply when enquiring, and the electrical configuration will be matched to it.

7. What is the MOQ and the payment terms?

MOQ is 1 set. Payment is by T/T, L/C or D/P, and we quote FOB, CIF or CFR as you prefer. The final price follows the extruder model, the die and forming equipment and the automation scope you select.

8. What is the lead time and how is the line packed?

The published lead time is within 45 working days in both peak and off season; a customised scope is scheduled at order confirmation. Packing is plywood, export standard, and the machine — approximately 25 tons — is secured inside the container and checked before dispatch.

9. What about the installation footprint and foundation?

The line is an integral-type arrangement with a published size of 25 × 3 × 3 m and a weight of 25 tons, so the floor loading and the foundation should be designed against that. We supply layout drawings in advance so the foundation, power supply, cooling water, compressed air and material flow routes can be prepared before the line arrives.

10. What is the warranty and the after-sales service?

The warranty is one year, and after-sales service is provided for life. Our engineers support installation, commissioning and operator training, and a test production can be arranged for reference before shipment. A detailed user manual is supplied with the line. For general questions, see the FAQ list.
