Product Description
The 630 mm Horizontal Cutterless HDPE Pipe Crusher is a heavy-duty horizontal pipe crusher built for one job that ordinary crushers cannot do: take a whole large-diameter HDPE pipe without cutting it down first.
Chenxing Machinery builds this machine up to a maximum pipe diameter of 630 mm — the largest size in our pipe crusher range. When you scrap a 630 mm HDPE pipe, it does not have to be sectioned by hand, loaded onto a saw or reduced on a bandsaw before recycling. It goes straight into the feed opening.
That single capability changes the economics of pipe recycling:
No pre-cutting labour — the most expensive and most hazardous step in large-pipe recycling is removed
No cutting machinery — no bandsaw, no chainsaw, no extra operator and no extra floor space
No re-handling — the pipe is loaded once, on the infeed conveyor, and the machine does the rest
Immediate size reduction — long pipe lengths are broken down continuously instead of in batches
The problem it solves is the classic large-pipe bottleneck: a 630 mm HDPE pipe is heavy, awkward and expensive to move, and hand-cutting it into short sections costs hours of labour per length. This machine is positioned at the point where that pipe is generated — the extrusion line, the installation site or the pipe storage yard — so the pipe is reduced while it is still on the floor, rather than being trucked away whole or cut up by hand.
Positioning in short:
Maximum pipe diameter: up to 630 mm, cutterless whole-pipe infeed

The lower feed opening (650 × 650 mm) is the key number for pipe work. It is the opening that sets how large a pipe can enter. Together with the machine's build, it supports HDPE pipe up to 630 mm outside diameter — the largest diameter Chenxing manufactures in this crusher range.
The upper feed opening (500 × 500 mm) handles shorter offcuts, smaller pipe, purgings and profile scrap in the same machine, so the crusher is not limited to large pipe only.
Power (185 kW) is sized for continuous size reduction of thick-wall HDPE rather than short test runs, which is what makes cutterless whole-pipe feeding practical.
The infeed conveyor (650 mm × 4 m) is matched to the feed opening width, so a long pipe is supported and guided along its whole approach rather than being forced in by hand.
Box plate thickness (30 mm) and the horizontal frame keep the cutting chamber rigid under large-pipe loads.
Hydraulic box opening means blade inspection, rotation and replacement do not require manual dismantling of the chamber.
If you run a smaller line, the same crusher family covers other pipe sizes; the pipe extrusion side of the plant is described under the pipe extrusion line, pipe extrusion line solution and other type pipe extrusion line solution pages.
The infeed conveyor is 650 mm wide and 4 m long, driven by a 4 kW motor. It positions a full-length pipe in front of the feed opening and feeds it in at a rate the rotor can absorb, so the operator is never standing against the chamber pushing a heavy pipe. Because the pipe is conveyed rather than dropped, long lengths are supported on the way in and the machine can run continuously.
The machine has a two-stage feed opening: an upper opening of 500 × 500 mm and a lower opening of 650 × 650 mm. The lower opening is what makes cutterless operation possible — a whole HDPE pipe feeds into it without being sectioned, and the upper opening takes smaller items such as offcuts and rejects. This combination is why the machine handles both large pipe and general plant scrap.
The chamber is a horizontal arrangement with 30 mm box plates for rigidity under heavy pipe loads, and it carries 10 blades on the rotor. Blade count and box thickness together determine how the pipe is broken down: a heavier rotor with more cutting edges processes thick-wall pipe more evenly and reduces the load spikes that a light machine sees when a large pipe first enters.
The chamber opens hydraulically, using a dedicated hydraulic cylinder motor of 3 kW. This removes the manual work from maintenance: no unbolting the chamber by hand, no lifting heavy covers. Access to the blades and the cutting chamber for inspection, cleaning or blade rotation is therefore a routine, short job — important when a plant runs the crusher continuously.
Main drive power is 185 kW. Control is centralised in a single electrical control cabinet supplied with the machine. The cabinet gathers the main drive, the hydraulic unit and the conveyor onto one panel, so the plant only needs one power feed point and one operating position for the whole crusher set.
The machine is aimed at any operation that produces or collects large-diameter HDPE pipe.
| Application | Typical material | Why this machine fits |
|---|---|---|
| HDPE pipe extrusion plants | Pipe start-up scrap, out-of-spec pipe, purge blocks | Whole 630 mm pipe feeds in directly from the line side, no pre-cutting |
| Pipe installation and utility contractors | Offcut and rejected lengths of large-diameter pipe | Compact 3900 × 1800 × 2500 mm main machine, conveyor-fed loading |
| Water supply and gas pipeline projects | Heavy-wall HDPE service pipe | 185 kW drive handles thick wall without stalling |
| Municipal drainage and sewer projects | Large-diameter drainage pipe | Lower 650 × 650 mm opening takes full pipe sections |
| Pipe stockyards and traders | Mixed stock, damaged pipe, end-of-life pipe | Upper 500 × 500 mm opening handles smaller pipe and offcuts too |
| Plastics recycling plants | HDPE pipe collected from multiple sites | Conveyor infeed for continuous, single-operator feeding |
Working conditions: the machine is installed at floor level as a complete set — main machine plus infeed conveyor and control cabinet. It needs a level, load-bearing concrete floor, a suitable three-phase power supply for the 185 kW main drive, and enough clear space in front of the conveyor to lay down a full pipe length before feeding. Because the machine is horizontal and cutterless, height clearance above the feed opening is much lower than on a vertical pipe crusher, which simplifies installation inside an existing pipe shop.
Conveyor length and width — the standard conveyor is 650 mm × 4 m; longer or shorter conveyors can be discussed together with your pipe lengths
Voltage and frequency — the electrical control cabinet is built for your plant supply
Feeding arrangement — position of the conveyor relative to the chamber can be adapted to your floor layout
Blade configuration — blade material and edge geometry are selected for the pipe wall thickness you process
Discharge arrangement — discharge height and direction adapted to your downstream conveying
Complete recycling line integration — the crusher can be supplied as part of a plant that includes washing, drying and pelletizing
Maximum pipe diameter — 630 mm is the top of this machine's range; a larger pipe requires a different platform rather than a modification of this one
The feed opening dimensions — 500 × 500 mm upper and 650 × 650 mm lower
The 10-blade rotor and 30 mm box plate construction — these are the machine's structural specification
Main drive power of 185 kW — sized to the machine's cutting chamber
Overall dimensions of 3900 × 1800 × 2500 mm — the footprint is fixed by the frame
Downstream equipment that pairs with the crusher includes the washing line machines, washing and recycling production line, PET bottle crushing washing line, PE/PP film recycling washing line, plastic pelletizing line, two-stage recycling machine, plastic agglomerator, SMF series grinding machine, plastic recycling line solution, crushing material suction machine and powder suction machine.
Quality control on a machine of this size is about structure and repeatability, not only appearance.
Frame and chamber — the horizontal chamber is built from 30 mm box plates, a heavy fabricated structure rather than a folded sheet housing, so the cutting chamber holds its geometry under continuous large-pipe loads
Rotor assembly — the rotor carries 10 blades and runs as a complete assembly on the test run before dispatch, so the machine is checked for smooth running at the installed drive power
Hydraulic system — the box opening cylinder and its 3 kW hydraulic cylinder motor are function-tested through full open-and-close cycles before dispatch
Conveyor and control — the 650 mm × 4 m conveyor and the electrical control cabinet are wired and run as a set, so commissioning on site is a matter of connection and check rather than assembly
Pre-delivery inspection — incoming steel plate and components are inspected, the fabrication process is patrolled, and the complete machine is re-inspected before delivery
Warranty and documentation — the machine is supplied with a 1-year warranty and with the machine manual, wiring diagram and hydraulic diagram
Manufacturing follows ISO 9001 quality management, and machines are supplied with CE marking for export markets. Chenxing also builds the upstream and downstream equipment that surrounds a crusher, so the whole line can be specified by one supplier: see auxiliary machines, mixing unit, automatic compounding system, Automatic Compounding System Solution, continuous powder suction machine and the advanced material processing EPC project service.
MOQ — one set. Each 630 mm crusher is built to order against the confirmed specification table above, so a single set is the normal starting quantity; multi-set orders for a group of plants are quoted together
Scope of supply per set — main machine, infeed conveyor (650 mm × 4 m, 4 kW) and electrical control cabinet (1 unit), plus blades as specified
Payment terms — T/T, L/C and Western Union
Incoterms — FOB, EXW, CFR, CIF and CIP
Lead time — confirmed at order, since the machine is built to specification; ordering earlier in the year avoids peak-season pressure
Packing — export packing suitable for sea transport, with the 3900 × 1800 × 2500 mm main machine secured on a reinforced base, and the conveyor and cabinet packed separately
Shipping — the whole set is shipped as one consignment; because the main machine is a single large unit, the loading plan and container or flat-rack arrangement are confirmed before dispatch
Installation and training — our engineers guide installation and train your operators on feeding technique, blade rotation and hydraulic box operation
Technical documents and machine files are collected under Downloads; machine news and application articles are posted on Company News.
Because this machine is built to order, a complete inquiry is what allows an accurate quotation on the first reply. Please include:
Pipe material and diameter range — HDPE, PP or other pipe, and the largest outside diameter you need to process (state whether it is 630 mm)
Pipe wall thickness — the thickest wall you will feed, since this drives blade geometry
Pipe length — the typical and maximum length, which determines the conveyor arrangement
Required output — the throughput target for your plant planning (this is confirmed as a project value; it is not a fixed figure of the standard machine)
Plant information — available floor area, height clearance in front of the machine, and power supply (voltage frequency phase)
Downstream requirement — whether you need washing, drying, conveying or pelletizing after the crusher, so the whole line can be quoted together
Commercial expectations — preferred Incoterm, destination port and required documents
Site and certification requirements — whether CE marking or other documentation is required for your market
What you get back: a written quotation stating the complete configuration for the 630 mm cutterless crusher — main machine, infeed conveyor, hydraulic box opening, blades and electrical control cabinet — together with the packing plan, delivery schedule and Incoterm. The engineering team confirms that 630 mm pipe feeds directly without pre-cutting before the order is finalised, so the capability is verified against your pipe, not assumed.
630 mm outside diameter — the largest diameter Chenxing builds in this crusher range. The pipe does not need to be cut into sections first; it feeds into the machine whole.
It means the pipe is not cut down before crushing. Traditional large-pipe recycling requires a bandsaw, chainsaw or manual cutting to reduce a 630 mm pipe into pieces a crusher can accept. This machine takes the pipe directly, driven by the infeed conveyor into the 650 × 650 mm lower feed opening. The only cutting that happens is inside the machine.
Through the integrated infeed conveyor: 650 mm wide, 4 m long, 4 kW motor. A full-length pipe is laid on the conveyor and driven into the chamber, so the operator does not push or lift the pipe against the feed opening.
Two openings: 500 × 500 mm upper and 650 × 650 mm lower. The lower opening is the one that accepts large-diameter pipe; the upper opening takes smaller pipe, offcuts and general plant scrap in the same machine.
The machine power is 185 kW. A separate 3 kW motor drives the hydraulic cylinder for box opening, and the infeed conveyor uses a 4 kW motor. The electrical control cabinet for the complete set is supplied as 1 unit.
The main machine is 3900 × 1800 × 2500 mm. In addition, you need clear space in front of the 4 m conveyor to lay down a full pipe length, and access space around the chamber for hydraulic box opening during maintenance.
No. The chamber opens hydraulically, which means blade inspection, rotation and replacement are done without manually dismantling the cutting chamber.
