HDPE DWC Double Wall Corrugated Drainage Sewage Pipe Extrusion Line | PE PVC Corrugated Pipe Making Machine

Availability:
Quantity:

Product Description

What This Line Does And Where It Fits

Double wall corrugated pipe. Two walls, one extrusion pass. The outer wall is corrugated, the inner wall is smooth. That single design decision is what makes the pipe useful: the corrugated outer profile carries ring stiffness (SN) while the smooth bore keeps the flow coefficient where the drainage engineer wants it. It also means the pipe weighs far less than a concrete or cast iron pipe of the same diameter, so you haul less, handle less, and lay more metres per crew per day.

This line is built for that pipe. It runs PP and PE on one set of models and PVC on another, from 110 mm up to 1200 mm outside diameter depending on which pair of extruders you specify. Output goes from 400 kg/h on the smaller PP/PE combination to 800 kg/h on the largest.

Where the pipe ends up: municipal drainage and sewage mains, storm water lines, road and highway culverts, industrial effluent discharge, landfill leachate, and the buried cable duct work that nobody photographs. Contractors choose it over concrete pipe for the joints (a socket and gasket, installed fast, and sealed) and over iron pipe for corrosion resistance. In the ground under a sewage line, that corrosion point is not a small thing.

What the machine gives you on the floor, in plain terms:

  • A specially designed high-efficiency screw developed for polyolefin. Stable performance, high efficiency.

  • Extrusion capacity that holds steady through a shift, not just on the spec sheet.

  • Corrugator moulds that can be changed over without a day of downtime. More on the blocks further down.

  • A wave structure that has been optimised as a whole for the best trade-off between high rigidity and low weight.

The equipment is a complete production line rather than a single machine. If you only need the pipe machine itself, that page is here: plastic drainage pipe machine. For the broader category of corrugated pipe lines, see double wall corrugated pipe extrusion line.

Specifications And Model Selection

Six published combinations. Polyolefin machines use the SNJH series with two extruders. PVC machines use the SNJZ series with a single extruder.

Material Pipe diameter (mm) Extruder Output (kg/h) Max. speed (m/min)
PP / PE 150-450 CXJH90/33 + CXJH75/33 400 2.5
PP / PE 500-800 CXJH120/33 + CXJH90/33 600 1.5
PP / PE 800-1200 CXJH150/33 + CXJH130/33 800 1
PVC 110-250 CXJZ80/156 400 5
PVC 200-500 CXJZ92/188 700 4
PVC 200-630 CXJZ92/188 700 3

A few notes on reading that table, because two rows look odd at first glance.

The last two PVC rows share the same extruder, CXJZ92/188, and the same published output of 700 kg/h, but the diameter range differs (200-500 mm against 200-630 mm) and so does the maximum speed (4 m/min against 3 m/min). That is a real pairing, not a typo. A bigger diameter at the same throughput naturally means fewer metres per minute, and 200-630 mm covers the whole span on the same extruder. Which row applies to you depends on the diameter range you actually intend to sell. If it is a mix, say so, and the corrugator block set gets decided around the range rather than one size.

Speed and output are not independent either. Line speed drops as diameter climbs. That is true of any corrugator. On PP/PE, 150-450 mm runs at 2.5 m/min, 500-800 mm at 1.5, and 800-1200 mm at 1 m/min. The pipe is bigger, the wall section is heavier, cooling takes longer. Anyone quoting you a flat speed across all diameters is quoting a number that will not hold on the floor.

The two-extruder arrangement on the PP/PE models is deliberate. Two independent extruders, so the inner layer and the outer layer can be run with different materials or different colours. Recyclate in the structural layer, virgin material with the colour on the visible or flow-critical layer, black outer and white inner, whatever your market asks for. PVC models run on a single extruder with a composite die.

It is a corrugated pipe extrusion line in the standard sense, so if you are still comparing single wall against double wall, that decision comes first. Single wall lines are here: single wall corrugated pipe extrusion line.

Model selection, short version:

  • Sewer and storm mains, DN500 and up, PP or PE: the CXJH120/33 + CXJH90/33 or CXJH150/33 + CXJH130/33 pairing, depending on whether you top out at 800 mm or 1200 mm.

  • Small diameter PP/PE duct and drainage, 150-450 mm: CXJH90/33 + CXJH75/33, 400 kg/h, 2.5 m/min. This is the volume model for most buyers.

  • PVC sewer and drainage, 110-250 mm: CXJZ80/156, and the fastest line in the whole table at 5 m/min.

  • PVC at 200 mm and above: CXJZ92/188, choose the diameter row by your product range.

Line Composition And Working Stations

Six stations carry the machine, plus the process flow that ties them together.

Published process flow: material, colour mixer, material feeding, single screw extruder, extrusion die, forming machine, cutting machine, stacker.

01 Electric Control System

PLC control with frequency converting control on the drives. The PLC is an international brand unit, confirmed on the order confirmation along with the rest of the electrical scope. Frequency conversion matters more on this line than on a plain pipe line, because the two extruders on a PP/PE machine have to hold their relative screw speeds as line speed changes with diameter. Line speed and both extruder outputs move together. Get that wrong and you get wall thickness drift.

02 Extruders

Two independent extruders on the PP/PE models. Different material, different colour, or both, for the inner and outer layer. One extruder with a composite die on the PVC models.

03 Die Head

Composite extrusion die head with a specially designed helical structure. The helical flow path is what evens out the melt before it reaches the gap, and even melt distribution is what gives uniform wall thickness and stable production. Thin wall on one side, thick on the other, and the pipe fails a ring stiffness test at the thin point. The die surface is chrome plated, which helps release and helps it survive PVC.

04 Forming Machine

The corrugator. The forming system combines water cooling and air cooling together, running continuously for high production speed. Water on the blocks, air where it does the most good, and the balance between them is one of the settings your operators will spend the first week tuning.

The machine also carries a programmable lubricating system. It feeds oil to the mould blocks on a schedule, which cuts block wear, extends service life and keeps the corrugator running smoothly. On a line that runs 24 hours, block wear is the maintenance cost that sneaks up on you. Automatic lubrication turns it into a consumable you plan for instead of a breakdown you don't.

05 Mould

Corrugator blocks in special aluminium alloy, made by high precision die casting. Aluminium because of heat dissipation: the block has to pull heat out of the pipe wall on every pass, and a block that cannot shed heat caps your line speed. Die casting gives the precision and strength, and the alloy resists abrasion from the pipe surface.

06 Water Cooling Tank

Additional cooling downstream of the corrugator, sized to bring the pipe down properly rather than to tick a box on the layout. Better cooling here buys production speed at the corrugator. Cooling capacity in the tank is one of the few places on this line where more is genuinely more.

The station list is the standard corrugated pipe recipe, which is a point in your favour on spare parts and on operator training. Feeds and upstream handling if you need them: mixing unit, auxiliary machines, crushing material suction machine. The extruder range on its own is under extruder, with a small co-extrusion laboratory unit here: SJ 30/28 co-extrusion laboratory extruder.

Application Scenarios

The published application range is broad, and it is worth breaking down because the pipe is not the same product in each case.

  • Municipal drainage and sewage. Buried mains, gravity flow, jointed every 6 m or so. Ring stiffness and joint integrity are the two things that matter.

  • Storm water and road drainage. Culverts, cross drains, kerb inlets. Load cases are heavier here, so stiffness class and bedding specification get more attention.

  • Replacement of concrete pipe and iron pipe. This is the substitution case the machine was designed around. A corrugated plastic pipe in the same diameter is lighter, so transport, lifting and jointing all get cheaper. Corrosion resistance against sewage and against aggressive soils is the other half of the argument against iron.

  • Industrial effluent and process discharge. Chemical resistance depends on the material, so PP, PE and PVC are matched to the effluent rather than picked by habit.

  • Landfill and containment drainage. Leachate collection, gas venting lines.

  • Cable ducting and protective sleeves. The same machine, different acceptance criteria. Duct buyers care about crush resistance and about pulling cable through without damage to the bore.

The pipes are made with easy connection and accessories installed quickly, and the joint quality is reliable. That matters on a site where a crew is laying 200 m a day and every joint is a potential leak call-back three years later.

Adjacent lines that often sit in the same plant: HDPE pipe production line 16-1600 mm, 3 layer high speed PE/PPR/HDPE pipe extrusion line, ABS pipe production line, PVC fiber reinforced soft pipe extrusion line, board and sheet extrusion line, other type pipe extrusion line solution.

Customization Boundaries

Most machines leave our works customized. This one is no exception. What follows is a straight account of what can be moved and what should not be.

What can be adapted

  • Diameter range within a machine class. You pick the row from the table. If your range starts at 200 mm and stops at 500 mm, you do not need to buy the 630 mm row and pay for blocks you will never mount.

  • Extruder pairing. The two-extruder arrangement on PP/PE models is what allows a difference between inner and outer layer. If you intend to run the same material both sides, that changes the screw and die conversation, so raise it before the order rather than after.

  • Layer materials and colours. Different material or different colour between layers is a published capability of the two-extruder arrangement. Colour mixer and feeding arrangement follow from that choice.

  • Corrugator blocks. Blocks are made to your pipe profile. Both the pipe outside diameter and the corrugation profile are on the drawing set. Different profiles for the same diameter are possible, since stiffness and material saving trade against each other in the wave shape.

  • Cutting length and stacker layout. Cut length follows what your market buys, and the stacker arrangement follows your packing method.

  • Electrical scope and voltage. Frequency converting drives and PLC control are standard. Voltage and frequency are set for your plant, and component brands are confirmed on the order confirmation.

  • Upstream and downstream equipment. Colour mixer, feeding, mixing, material conveying, auxiliary handling and plant design are available as part of a turnkey scope.

  • Plant layout. Turnkey work includes plant design, machine and mould installation and debugging, and we can source auxiliary equipment on your behalf.

What we would push back on

  • Line speed beyond the published figure for that diameter. The max speed is set by cooling and by block heat removal, not by the extruder alone. Asking a 1200 mm line to run at 2 m/min means a different cooling arrangement, and that is a different machine.

  • Output beyond the published extruder capacity. The extruder rating is the extruder rating. It is not a negotiating position.

  • Wall thickness below what the stiffness class needs. It is possible to run a thin wall. It is not advisable to sell pipe that fails on site.

  • No test run. Every set ships after testing in the works. If you want your own profile and material tested, send the specification early.

Where the wider pipe programme sits: pipe extrusion line and pipe extrusion line solution. Material specific scopes are under HDPE pipe extrusion line solution and PVC pipe extrusion line solution.

Quality Checks And Certification

Quality on a corrugated pipe line shows up in three places: wall thickness distribution around the circumference, ring stiffness on the finished pipe, and joint fit.

Wall thickness uniformity comes from the die head. The helical structure in the composite die spreads the melt evenly before it reaches the gap. Uneven melt, uneven wall. The die is chrome plated.

Ring stiffness comes from the wave geometry and from how well the corrugator holds the profile while the pipe cools. The wave structure on this line has been optimised as a whole design for high rigidity at low weight, and the programmable lubrication system is part of holding that geometry over a long production campaign. Worn blocks change the corrugation. Slightly different corrugation means slightly different stiffness.

Joint fit is a downstream check that starts upstream. Bore roundness and cut squareness both come off the line.

Factory practice on the machine itself:

  • Every set is tested in the works before shipment. Full set, run, then loaded.

  • Corrugator blocks are die cast in aluminium alloy to high precision, so block to block variation stays small across a set.

  • The lubrication system is programmable, which turns block wear into planned maintenance.

  • Pipe made on the line can be verified against the ring stiffness class and the standard your project specifies. Tell us which standard governs the job, and the profile and material are matched to it at the specification stage, not after the pipe is in the ground.

  • Documentation, drawings and manuals ship with the machine, and are also listed under download. Application notes and project write-ups are collected under news and application.

If your tender specifies third party inspection or a particular certification mark, raise it at enquiry stage. It is much easier to build inspection into the schedule than to insert it afterwards.

Delivery Terms

Published and practical terms, in one place.

  • Warranty. One year guarantee on the machine. Twelve months on components, with technical support running alongside.

  • Spare parts. Two years of normal spare parts supplied free of charge with the machine. Standard wear parts and the items you will actually need are included, and we send the packing list before shipment so you can check it.

  • Service response. 24 hour service.

  • After service. Available for the full life of the machine.

  • Lead time. Customized machines run about 45 to 60 days after deposit. Stock machines ship quickly. The real cycle varies with how far the customization goes, and we will tell you which bracket you are in before you pay the deposit rather than after.

  • Shipping. Full set ships after factory testing. The line is partly taken down to fit containers, and loading is checked before the container is closed.

  • Installation. Experienced technicians can travel to your country to guide installation and commissioning, and to train your people.

  • Turnkey scope. Plant design, machine and mould installation, debugging, and sourcing of auxiliary equipment are available as one package. It saves the cost and the time of coordinating five suppliers who have never spoken to each other.

  • Training and manual. Instruction manual plus engineer training before loading, then 24 hour online support, video technical support, or field installation assistance after the machine lands.

Trade terms, currency and destination port are confirmed in the written quotation.

After-Sales And Field Service

Commissioning a corrugator is a commissioning job, not a delivery. The first pipe off a new line usually runs; the first pipe that meets a stiffness test and holds tolerance for a full shift is where the setup work sits. Cooling balance, block lubrication interval, haul-off tension, cutter timing. Small settings, real consequences.

So the support package looks like this:

  • Manual instruction and engineer training before the machine is loaded, so your team has seen it run before it is in pieces in a container.

  • 24 hour online support after shipment, by video call when the issue needs eyes on it rather than words.

  • Field installation assistance on request, with technicians travelling to site for guidance and commissioning.

  • Video based factory visits for overseas customers who want to see the machine built and running before committing to travel.

  • One year guarantee, twelve months on components, two years of normal spare parts at no charge, and after service for the life of the machine.

FAQ

Can we visit the factory before ordering?

Yes. Come in person, or ask for a video walk-through of the machine running if the trip is long. For buyers at a distance, the video visit is usually the faster route to a decision. Our address, phone and email are on the contact page.

How do we get an exact price?

Send the pipe size, the profile shape, your annual quantity, and a photo or drawing if you have one. With those four things we can put a model and a quotation in front of you instead of a range. Price depends on which of the six combinations you need, the diameter range, and the mould set.

Do spare parts come with the machine?

Yes. All necessary spare parts are supplied before shipment, and the packing list goes to you first so nothing is a surprise at the port.

What does after-sales look like in practice?

Manual and engineer training before loading. After shipment, 24 hour online support, video technical support, or field installation assistance. Machine is covered for the full service life of the machine on after-sales.

How long is the lead time?

Customized machines are about 45 to 60 days after deposit. Stock machines ship fast. Actual production cycle moves with the degree of customization, and a wider diameter range or non standard profile pushes it out.

What is the warranty?

12 months warranty on components, with the machine itself under one year guarantee, plus technical support throughout.

Can the machine be made for our own product?

Most of the machines we build are customized, and this line follows that practice. We design around your pipe specification, diameter range and layer arrangement, with the aim of efficiency and stable performance rather than the biggest number on a data sheet.

How is the machine installed once it arrives?

We send experienced technicians to your country to guide installation, commission the line and train your employees. Remote guidance by video is the alternative if travel is not practical at that point.

What do you actually do differently?

Turnkey delivery. Plant design, machine and mould installation, debugging, and sourcing of the auxiliary equipment around the line, as one scope. The full set is tested in our works before it ships. That combination takes cost and time out of the project, and it takes the finger pointing out too. More general questions are answered on the FAQ list.

Can the line run recycled material?

The two extruder layout on the PP/PE models allows a different material in the inner and outer layers, which is one of the practical routes to using recyclate in the structural layer. The layer arrangement and the material tolerance are settled with your specification.
