Window sills and window boards are sold on three promises: a clean surface, a stable cross-section and a profile that will not sag, shrink or yellow in the window frame for years. Many producers discover that turning PVC powder into that kind of profile is harder than it looks — five challenges decide whether a window sill line is a profit center or a problem.
Window sill production needs more than an extruder. The line must also dry and dose the powder, mix the formulation, pull the profile without stretching it and cut it square — and most producers also want to run window profiles, corner profiles and other UPVC sections on the same platform.
Response: the PVC window sill production line is delivered as a complete system — conical twin screw extruder, vacuum calibration tank, haul-off machine, automatic cutter and stacker — with an appropriate die mould and auxiliary machines such as powder charger, mixer and crusher. Change the die and the same platform converts PVC powder into the window board, sill or window profile you need today.
A window board has a wide face and thin ribs — the geometry that most wants to warp during cooling. If the calibrator and vacuum tank do not lock the shape quickly, every batch is a fight with rejects.
Response: the line pairs a stainless steel vacuum calibration tank of 6 m with a die mould whose calibrator and cooling tank are delivered as a complete set. The profile is cooled and sized under vacuum immediately after the die, so the finished board keeps straight edges and consistent dimensions from the first meter to the thousandth.
A haul-off that pulls too hard thins the wall; one that slips leaves ripples on the surface. Either way, the window board fails at installation.
Response: the haul-off machine runs upper and lower belts driven separately with inverter speed control, and Chenxing customizes the traction speed, number of claws and effective traction length according to the profile size and thickness — matching the profile extrusion speed and forming speed and avoiding deformation during traction.
Window sills are cut to exact window widths. A saw that burns the edge or throws PVC dust across the surface forces a second cleaning operation.
Response: the auto-cutting machine is a lifting saw cutter with a double-station dust collection system, controlled by Siemens PLC with chamfering function and working with the haul-off unit for precise cutting. Operators set the required length and the machine delivers square, chamfered cuts without dust drifting onto the finished profile.
UPVC formulations differ from region to region — more filler, less stabilizer, different impact modifiers. A supplier who sells only a standard screw cannot help when the profile starts to show poor plasticizing.

A modular 3Cr17 die set means one line can switch between window sill, window board and other UPVC sections quickly — and when you add a co-extruder later for a cap layer or a decorative foam imitation marble face, the same die platform supports it.
The calibration tank includes a full set of vacuum and water pumps, a width of 240 mm, a length of 6000 mm and an independent operation panel for easy operation. Inside the auxiliary machine range this is the station that decides whether the profile leaves the line straight and stable.
The haul-off provides sufficient traction force to pull the profile stably, with upper/lower belts driven separately and inverter speed control, fast-change type pads for easy operation and an aluminum installation plate.
The cutter is a lifting saw with double-station dust collection, controlled by Siemens PLC with chamfering function. Synchronous driving by air cylinder or servo motor gives precise cutting at the length you set, with an aluminum clamping device and advanced hydraulic system behind the blade.
A 6 m stacker takes the cut lengths clear of the cutting station, keeping the finished profiles organized for inspection and packing.
