When using a PVC profile production line for production, adding the necessary processing modification aids can improve the quality of PVC profiles and also increase the efficiency of production. So, what processing aids can be used in the production of PVC profiles?
Here is the list
The principle of action of processing aids
What are the common processing aids?
Due to the poor ductility of the PVC melt, it is easy to cause the melt to break; the slow relaxation of the PVC melt is easy to cause the surface of the products to be rough, lusterless, and sharkskin. Therefore, PVC processing often requires the addition of processing aids to improve the above defects of the melt. Processing aids are additives that can improve the processing performance of the resin, the main role in three ways: to promote the melting of resin, improve the rheological properties of the melt and give lubrication function. Promote resin melting: resin in the heated state, PVC melting under the action of a certain shear force, processing modifiers first melt and adhere to the surface of the PVC resin particles, its compatibility with the resin and its high molecular weight, PVC viscosity and friction increases, so that the effective shear stress and heat transfer to the entire PVC resin, accelerating the PVC melt. Improve the rheological properties of the melt: PVC melt has poor strength, poor ductility, melt rupture, and other shortcomings, and processing modifiers can improve the above rheological properties of the melt. The mechanism of action is: to increase the viscoelasticity of the PVC melt, thereby improving the release expansion and melt strength, etc. Giving lubricity: processing modifier and PVC compatible part first melt, play a role in promoting melt; and incompatible with the PVC part to the molten resin system outside the migration, thereby improving the mold release.
The most commonly used processing modifier is ACR, which is a copolymer of methyl methacrylate, acrylate, styrene, and other monomers. The important role of the ACR processing modifier is to promote the plasticization of PVC, shorten the plasticization time, improve the uniformity of melt plasticization, and reduce the temperature of plastic flowers.
Our company produces PVC profile production line for PVC profiles. The production line consists of a conical twin-screw extruder, vacuum setting table, haul-off machine, cutting machine, and stacking frame; with molds of different profile sections, it can produce PVC plastic door and window profiles, foam profiles, decorative plates, profiles, and electric wire channel (industrial) and other plastic products. When producing the above products, adding appropriate processing modifiers can improve the quality of the products and also effectively increase the production efficiency of the PVC profile production line.
With years of production experience and advanced technology, Zhangjiagang Chenxing Machinery Co., Ltd can provide a high-quality and high-performance profile production line. And we have a professional team that can provide professional pre-sales consulting service and after-sales maintenance service.
