This is a low temperature plastic granulator built for one job: turning film edge trim back into pellets, on site, without sending scrap out of the building. Film blowing factories and film bag manufacturers are the two groups who buy it most, and the reasons are straightforward.
Film lines produce trim continuously. Edges are slit off, start up material comes off the roll, and bag making machines leave skeletons behind. All of that is clean, single material, known formulation scrap, and hauling it away is a cost with nothing coming back. A compactor or a full size recycling line is more machine than this material needs, and it needs space, water and staff that a film plant does not usually want to give up.
This line answers that directly.
Compact design, small footprint. The whole unit is built as one integrated machine rather than a series of separate machines on a long line. Fans and pipes sit inside the machine body instead of being piped out to a separate cooling and conveying arrangement, which is where a lot of the space saving comes from.
Low labour requirement. Automation level is high and the operating sequence is short. One operator covers the machine, which matters when the alternative is a recycling line that needs a dedicated person watching a wash train. Labour cost on this machine is low for exactly that reason.
Low temperature pelletizing. The cutting and forming stage runs cool rather than hot. Recycled material properties are not changed by the process, which is what allows the pellet output to go back into the film line and be mixed with virgin pellets at a high ratio to produce qualified film again. This is the point of the machine, and it is what separates it from a general purpose granulator.
Air cooling only. A strong air cooling system does the cooling, and water cooling is not needed. No water supply, no water treatment, no wet pellet drying step.
Smokeless and odourless. The granulation design is intended for clean operation with no pollution during the recycling and granulation process. For a film plant running in an industrial park, that is often the difference between a machine that can be installed in the production hall and one that cannot.
The machine is also described as an all-in-one granulator: no water, no dust, no smell, small size, low temperature. Those five words are a reasonable summary of the design intent.
Where this machine fits in a plant's material flow: it takes trim directly from the film or bag machine, and the pellets it makes can go straight back into the hopper. Where a plant also handles mixed or dirty scrap, the wider recovery route is covered under plastic recycling line solution and washing and recycling production line.
Every figure below is reproduced exactly as published in the product material for this machine. Nothing has been rounded, averaged or converted.
| Model | Capacity (kg/h) | Main motor power (kw) | Screw diameter (mm) | Machine weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SJL90 | 50-60 | 11 | 90 | 650 |
| SJL120 | 100-130 | 37 | 100 | 2400 |
| SJL150 | 150-200 | 55 | 150 | 4000 |
Three notes on the table, because we would rather point at what the published data does not settle than quietly fill the gaps.
SJL120 shows a screw diameter of 100 mm while the model designation says 120. SJL90 pairs a 90 mm screw with a 90 designation and SJL150 pairs 150 with 150, so the SJL120 row is the odd one out. It is published as 100 mm and it stays at 100 mm here. The screw specification for the machine you order is confirmed on the order confirmation rather than inferred from the model code.
Capacity is given as a range per model, not a single figure. 50-60, 100-130 and 150-200 kg/h. Actual throughput moves within that band with material type, film thickness, trim width and how consistently the feed is presented to the feeder. A blown film trim of thin LDPE and a heavy gauge resin bag film do not run at the same rate through the same screw.
No dimensions, no total installed power and no electrical specification are published for these models. Machine weight is given, footprint is not. We are not going to derive a footprint from the weight or print a voltage that is not in the source material. Those are confirmed at enquiry, where they belong, because the electrical supply and the floor space are site specific anyway.
Published component list, reproduced as given.
| Machine name / Specification |
|---|
| Feeder with pressing cylinder. The feeder input is equipped with a roller, which can feed roll materials; use cylinder pushing materials into extruder |
| Main extruder. Screw/barrel: nitrified, 38CrMoA1A, nitrified; main extruder rotation speed frequency control |
| Screen changer. We have manual screen changer or hydraulic auto change screen for option. Screen changer method: manual automatically |
| Cutter. Blade material: alloy. Rotation speed: frequency control |
| Lighting. It is convenient for operators to check the cutting condition |
| Fan blower system. Three stage fan blower cooling system. All fans and pipes are placed inside the machine body to save space |
| Control panel & electric parts. Contactor: internationally sourced brand name item. Inverter: internationally sourced brand name item |
Notes on the component list:
Screw and barrel are nitrided 38CrMoA1A. That is a specific steel grade with a nitriding treatment, and it is the material specification rather than a claim about life. Nitriding gives a hard surface layer on the screw and barrel, which is what resists wear from filled and pigmented film scrap. Film trim with mineral filler is abrasive, and the screw is where that shows first.
Screen changer is a choice, not a fixed item. Manual screen changer or hydraulic auto change screen are both listed as options, and the method is either manual or automatic. This is a real decision point on a machine meant to run unattended, and it is worth settling at order stage rather than after delivery.
Both the main extruder and the cutter are frequency controlled. Screw speed and cutter speed can be set independently, which is what allows the machine to be tuned to a material rather than run at one speed for everything.
Component brands on the control panel are internationally sourced brand name items, including the contactor and the inverter. Brands are confirmed on the order confirmation.
Lighting at the cutting position is a working feature, not decoration. An operator checking pellet quality and cutting condition needs to see the strand or the die face, and that is what the light is for.
Packaged machines are tested before delivery. Film trim pelletizing is sensitive to cutter alignment and to cooling airflow, and both are checked with the machine running rather than at the customer's site.
Related equipment families: plastic pelletizing line, two stage recycling machine, plastic agglomerator, SMF series grinding machine for plastic recycling, auxiliary machines.
The published application line is cleaning PE, HDPE and LDPE film, and the machine is described as especially suitable for recycling clean films or bags produced by blown film plants and bag manufacturers.
That word clean is doing a lot of work in the sentence, and it is worth being direct about it. This machine is a granulator, not a washing machine. It is designed around clean, single material film and trim, the kind generated inside a film plant or a bag plant before the material has ever left the building. It has no wash stage, no friction washer, no drying system and no water connection. Feeding dirty, printed, multi layer or mixed post consumer film into it does not produce good pellets, because there is nothing in the machine that removes contamination.
If your material is dirty or mixed, the correct answer is a wash train ahead of the pelletizing stage, and that is covered under PE PP film recycling washing line and washing line machines. If your material is clean trim, this machine is the shorter and cheaper route, and it is the reason it sells into film plants.
Materials it handles, as published
PE, HDPE, LDPE film. Blown film trim, edge trim, start up rolls and rejected film.
Clean films and bags from blown film plants and bag manufacturers. Trim and skeleton waste with known formulation.
Heavy duty LDPE resin bag film. Thick gauge film scrap, which is one of the reference materials shown in the machine documentation.
Raincoat material. Film and coated fabric offcuts, as shown in the reference material set.
PP materials, run with a different cutting arrangement. A pull strip cutting method is used for PP, while PE materials run die face cutting. The machine documentation presents both arrangements, and which one applies to you depends on the material rather than on the model number. Confirm it at enquiry and the machine is set up for your material.
BOPP pearlized film. Shown as a reference material, with the same note on pelletizing method applying.
PP non-woven trims and PP sunscreen mesh strands. Shown as reference materials in the machine documentation, again under the PP pull strip arrangement. Non-woven trims behave differently from film in the feed, and the feeder setting reflects that.
Who this machine suits
Blown film factories. Edge trim returns to the hopper within the shift, and the pellet can be mixed back with virgin material at a high ratio to produce qualified film again. The material never leaves the plant and never becomes a disposal problem.
Film bag manufacturers. Skeleton waste from bag making is clean, known material, and bag machinery is a trim generating machine by nature. This is the classic installation.
Plants with limited space. Because cooling and conveying are integrated into the body, the machine does not need the floor area of a conventional pelletizing line with separate cooling and conveying equipment.
Plants with air cooling only. No water cooling, no water supply and no wet pellet handling.
The output pellets can be fed back into a film line, or move into other extrusion processes. Equipment on the receiving side of the plant includes extruder, pipe extrusion line, board and sheet extrusion line, PC LED light cover extrusion line, PVC UV marble sheet making line, profile extrusion line, PVC fiber reinforced soft pipe extrusion line, plastic drainage pipe machine, HDPE pipe extrusion line solution, pipe extrusion line solution and other type pipe extrusion line solution.
This is a standard low temperature plastic granulator with a defined model range, so customization is about fitting it to your material and your plant rather than redesigning it. Here is where the lines sit.
What we will change
Model selection by capacity. SJL90, SJL120 and SJL150 cover 50-60, 100-130 and 150-200 kg/h. Where your trim generation sits between two models, the deciding factor is usually how continuously the trim is produced, not the peak rate.
Screen changer method. Manual screen changer or hydraulic auto change screen. On a machine intended to run with minimal attention, the automatic option is often the one that pays, because screen changes are the main interruption on a pelletizing line.
Cutting arrangement. Die face cutting for PE materials, pull strip cutting for PP materials. Tell us the material and the machine is set to suit it. This is not a switch on the panel, it is a set up decision made at build.
Cutter blade specification. Alloy blade as published. Where abrasive filled material is involved, say so at enquiry and blade specification is discussed.
Feed arrangement. The feeder carries a pressing cylinder and a roller at the input, and the roller is what allows roll materials to be fed. Trim arriving as loose edge strip and trim arriving as whole roll material are presented to the machine differently.
Electrical components. Brand name items, internationally sourced, with brands confirmed on the order confirmation. Electrical supply specification is confirmed against your site supply, since the published material for this machine does not state a voltage.
Layout around the machine. The machine is compact and the cooling arrangement is internal, so the surrounding requirement is mostly access for the feeder, the cutter and the control panel.
Colour and finish. Set to your requirement.
What we will not do
Sell it as a washing machine. It has no wash stage. If your film is dirty, printed, multi layer or post consumer mixed material, this is the wrong machine and we will say so.
Print a footprint or a voltage that the source material does not contain. Weight is published, dimensions are not. A machine specification is not a place for a reassuring looking number.
Correct the SJL120 screw diameter. It is published as 100 mm against a 120 designation. We show it as published and confirm the screw specification for your order on the order confirmation.
Promise a capacity at the top of the band for every material. 50-60, 100-130 and 150-200 kg/h are ranges for a reason. Send the material description, film thickness and trim width and we will tell you where in the band a realistic figure sits rather than quoting the ceiling.
Quote a warranty period that is not written down. The published material for this machine does not state a warranty period. The figure for your order is written into the quotation.
Guarantee virgin equivalent pellet quality. The claim we can support is the published one: low temperature pelletizing does not change recycled material properties, and the pellet can be mixed with virgin pellets at a high ratio to produce qualified film again. The achievable ratio depends on your material and your film specification, and it is established by trial rather than by a printed number.
Cutting and wear surfaces. The screw and barrel are nitrided 38CrMoA1A, and the cutter blade is alloy. These are the parts that see abrasive material and heat, and they are specified rather than left to a general description.
Cooling. A three stage fan blower cooling system handles the cooling duty, and water cooling is not required. Three stages give the machine cooling control instead of a single airflow setting, which matters when the material being run changes through the day. All fans and pipes are placed inside the machine body, which is both a space decision and a cleanliness decision: the machine does not shed a trail of ducting across the factory floor.
Process conditions. The machine is designed as a low temperature, dry process. Smokeless and odourless operation during recycling and granulation, no water, no dust, no smell. Low temperature is also a quality feature rather than only an environmental one, because it is what protects the material properties of the recycled pellet.
Controls and electrical. The control panel uses internationally sourced brand name components for the contactor and the inverter, with brands confirmed on the order confirmation. Main extruder rotation speed and cutter rotation speed are both frequency controlled, which is what makes repeatable settings possible between materials and between shifts.
Testing before delivery. Machines are tested with the cutter running and the cooling system in operation. Cutter alignment and airflow settings are the two things that decide pellet quality on this type of machine, and both are easier to set in the factory than on the customer's floor.
Installation and after sales. Design, customization, installation and technical support are provided, arranged per project. Terms for your order are set out in the quotation.

Auxiliary equipment commonly bought with a pelletizing machine: mixing unit, automatic compounding system, automatic compounding system solution, crushing material suction machine, powder suction machine, continuous powder suction machine, PET bottle crushing washing line.
Pelletizing film edge trim and clean film scrap on site. Its main use is film edge trim pelletizing in blown film factories and bag manufacturers, so the trim goes back into the process instead of leaving the plant as waste.
Three models cover it. SJL90 at 50-60 kg/h, SJL120 at 100-130 kg/h, and SJL150 at 150-200 kg/h. Actual throughput moves within the published band depending on the material, the film thickness and the feed condition.
No. Cooling is by a three stage fan blower system and water cooling is not needed, so there is no water connection, no water treatment and no wet pellet drying stage.
That is the design purpose. Low temperature pelletizing does not change recycled material properties, and the pellet can be mixed with virgin pellets at a high ratio to produce qualified film again. The ratio that works for your film specification is established on your material.
No. This is a granulator without a wash stage, and the published application is clean films and bags from blown film plants and bag manufacturers. Dirty, printed, multi layer or mixed post consumer material needs a washing line ahead of pelletizing, which is a different scope.
PE materials run die face cutting and PP materials run a pull strip cutting method. Non-woven trims and mesh strands are shown under the PP arrangement. The arrangement is set at build for the material you tell us about.
Both are offered. Manual screen changer or hydraulic auto change screen, with the method either manual or automatic. On a machine meant to run with minimal attention, the automatic option reduces the interruptions.
Machine weight is published per model: 650 kg for SJL90, 2400 kg for SJL120 and 4000 kg for SJL150. The machine is compact by design and the cooling equipment sits inside the body, so it does not need the floor area of a conventional line with separate cooling and conveying. External dimensions are not published, and they are confirmed at enquiry against your layout.
It is confirmed against your site supply at order stage. The published material for this machine does not state a voltage, so we confirm it rather than print an assumption.
