A vacuum loader is an automatic conveying unit that uses vacuum suction to move powders and granules through a closed line from a source point to a receiving hopper. Air is pulled through the line by a blower or vacuum pump, material enters the hopper and drops into a mixer or silo, and a filter cartridge holds back the fines. Typical conveying capacity runs from about 100 to 2,000 kg/h depending on vacuum level, line diameter and distance, confirmed at enquiry, and the closed path keeps the plant floor dust free.
Chenxing Machinery builds the vacuum loader for automatic powder and granule feeding in a compounding plant. It replaces manual scooping and open conveying, so the operator no longer stands over a dust source. The loader sits between bulk storage and the machine that needs material, usually a PVC dry blending mixer unit or a central PVC compounding system, and it pulls only what the downstream hopper asks for.
The loader is built around the jobs an operator sees every shift:
A receiving hopper catches the material as it enters from the conveying line.
A filter cartridge with pulse reverse cleaning keeps fines inside the unit and clears itself while the loader runs.
A level probe with adjustable dwell time stops the suction cycle when the hopper is full.
A discharge flap valve or rotary valve with a seal drops the material to the mixer or silo without air loss.
A vacuum source connection ties the unit to a side channel blower or roots type vacuum pump.
A control panel starts and stops the cycle on demand, with a PLC interlock to the downstream machine.
The vacuum line bend radius matters in daily operation. Each sharp bend costs pressure, so the plant layout keeps bends few and wide, and the loader still finishes the cycle inside the mixer dwell window. That is the difference between a loader that keeps up and one that runs the blower all shift.
The vacuum loader works in a fixed sequence. The vacuum source pulls air through the line, the powder or granules enter the receiving hopper, the filter retains the fines, the level probe stops the cycle when the hopper signals full, and the discharge flap or rotary valve drops the material to the mixer or silo below. Pulse reverse cleaning then clears the filter element so the next cycle starts with a clean element.
The dwell time on the level probe is set during commissioning. If the probe trips too early, the hopper loads half full and the mixer waits; if it trips too late, powder packs against the filter. The same loader can run with a powder suction conveying machine on a long run or as a standalone unit on a short one, and the automatic continuous vacuum loader covers plants that need steady, non-stop feed.
The table below lists typical industry reference values. None of them are fixed Chenxing model data, and every figure is confirmed at enquiry before an order.
| Item | Typical industry reference |
|---|---|
| Conveying capacity | about 100 to 2,000 kg/h depending on vacuum level, line diameter and distance |
| Receiving hopper volume | about 5 to 50 L per loader unit |
| Vacuum source | side channel blower or roots type vacuum pump, about 1.5 to 7.5 kW |
| Conveying distance | horizontal about 20 to 80 m, vertical lift about 5 to 20 m |
| Conveying line | rigid tube or hose, bends kept as few as possible to limit pressure loss |
| Filter | filter cartridge with pulse reverse cleaning, fines returned to hopper |
| Control | level probe with adjustable dwell time, PLC interlock, automatic start/stop on demand |
| Discharge | flap valve or rotary valve with seal |
| Wetted material | painted carbon steel, SS304, SS316 for food and pharma duty |
| Power supply | 380V 50Hz 3 phase, other voltages on request |
All values above are typical industry reference figures, confirmed at enquiry. The actual capacity, hopper size and vacuum power are matched to the material and the line length of each plant, so the loader is quoted after the conveying route is known.
Sizing starts with the bulk density and particle size. Light PVC powder needs more air per kilo than dense granules, so the vacuum level and filter area are set around the powder side of the range. The conveying distance then decides the line diameter and the vacuum source power, because pressure loss grows with length and with every bend.
The feed rate is the third input. A mixer that empties a 50 L hopper every 6 minutes needs a loader that refills inside that window with a margin. The level probe position and the dwell time are set to match the cycle, and the discharge valve is interlocked so material never feeds into a closed batch.
For food and pharmaceutical plants, the loader is built with a hygienic grade. The wetted surfaces move to SS316, the filter is sized for fine dust, and the hopper interior is polished so material does not stick in corners. The rest of the sizing logic stays the same, but the material grade changes the price and the delivery lead time.
The source page lists five application areas for the vacuum loader, and the same logic shows up across Chenxing machine lines. The table below maps each application to the plant context.
| Application area | What the vacuum loader does |
|---|---|
| PVC powder automatic feeding | Pulls resin and dry blend from storage to the PVC pipe extrusion machinery mixer |
| Plastic compounding systems | Feeds the hopper of a compounding solution package on demand |
| Chemical powder conveying | Moves pigments, fillers and additives in a closed line without exposure |
| Food ingredient transport | Carries flour, starch and granulated food ingredients in hygienic SS316 units |
| Pharmaceutical material handling | Transfers API and excipient powders with cleaned surfaces and fine filtration |
In a pipe plant the loader tops up the mixer on a timed cycle, whether the line is HDPE pipe production machinery, corrugated pipe extrusion machinery or a PPR pipe extrusion line. On a sheet line it feeds the mixer of sheet extrusion machinery, and profile shops run it with PVC profile extrusion machines. Recycling plants use a rougher grade: a crushed flake vacuum loader moves regrind from a PET bottle washing line or a film recycling and washing line back into compounding.
Customization is available where it changes the loader's fit to a line. The fixed part is the engineering principle: vacuum suction moves material through a closed line.
| Customizable | Fixed |
|---|---|
| Conveying capacity, vacuum source power and line diameter | Vacuum suction conveying is the core position of the loader |
| Receiving hopper size and filter area | Dust free conveying is always part of the design |
| Discharge: flap valve, rotary valve, level probe position | The loader is a conveyor, not a mixer or a storage silo |
| Material grade: painted carbon steel, SS304 or SS316 | |
| Control: dwell time, PLC interlock, multi-point feeding sequence | |
| Line route: rigid tube, hose, bends and lift height |
A loader feeding three silos alternately gets a diverting valve and a PLC sequence. A loader in a food plant gets the hygienic grade and a wash-down finish. What does not change is the closed line: the hopper, filter and discharge seals stay in the design because that is what keeps the powder off the floor and out of the air.
Chenxing Machinery has run ISO9001 quality management since 2002 and CE certification applies to the machine series. The factory has been building plastic machinery for more than 20 years, and the vacuum loader is welded, polished and inspected under the same routine as the rest of the powder handling auxiliary machines range. The application scenarios page shows where these units run in real lines.
Each loader goes through a documented run-out check before shipment. The inspection list covers the hopper welds and interior finish, the filter cartridge fit and pulse valve function, the level probe calibration, the discharge seal, the vacuum line connections and the control panel sequence. The unit is test run with the actual material sample where possible, so the operator sees the fill level and the filter cleaning before the machine leaves the shop.
The package includes the inspection report and the certificate of conformity, plus a 1 year warranty on the machine. Larger conveying layouts can be arranged through the EPC material handling projects program, and details about our factory are available on the site.
The minimum order is 1 set, and the lead time is confirmed on the order because it depends on the vacuum source power, hopper size and material grade. Export packing uses wooden cases or steel frames, with the hopper, filter housing and control panel separated and braced so the seals and the level probe are not damaged in transit. Machine manuals are packed with each unit, and commissioning notes cover the level probe dwell time setting.
Trade terms cover FOB, EXW, CFR, CIF and CIP, and payment is by T/T or L/C. The destination port is needed at quotation stage so the freight and packing plan can be sized correctly.
A vacuum loader is an automatic conveying unit that uses vacuum suction to move powders and granules through a closed line. Air is pulled through the line, material drops into a receiving hopper, and a filter cartridge holds back the fines.
Dry free-flowing and slightly cohesive powders and granules: PVC resin, dry blend, fillers, pigments, food ingredients and pharmaceutical powders. The vacuum level and line diameter are matched to the bulk density.
Typical industry reference is about 100 to 2,000 kg/h depending on vacuum level, line diameter and distance, confirmed at enquiry. The exact rate depends on the material and the number of bends in the line.
Horizontal runs of about 20 to 80 m and vertical lifts of about 5 to 20 m are typical, confirmed at enquiry. Long routes need a bigger vacuum source because every meter and every bend costs pressure.
Yes. The line is closed from source to hopper, and the filter cartridge with pulse reverse cleaning keeps fines inside the unit. That closed path is the main reason plants choose a vacuum loader over open conveying.
A level probe with adjustable dwell time stops the suction cycle when the hopper is full. The discharge flap or rotary valve then opens to drop the material, and the loader restarts when the mixer or silo calls for more.
Yes. A diverting valve and a PLC sequence let one loader feed multiple hoppers alternately. The dwell time and level probe are set for each point so no machine waits.
Yes. The wetted surfaces move to SS316, the hopper interior is polished, and the filter is sized for fine dust. The hygiene grade changes the price and the lead time, and it is confirmed at enquiry.
The MOQ is 1 set. Lead time is confirmed on the order because vacuum source power, hopper size and material grade change the build. FOB, EXW, CFR, CIF or CIP terms can be arranged.
