A loading station is the feeding point where PVC powder and additives enter a compounding system in a controlled, dust free way. Operators can tear open bags and drop material through a hooded inlet, or the station can take powder automatically from a vacuum loader. A filter cartridge with pulse cleaning keeps dust inside the unit. Typical receiving hoppers run from about 50 to 500 L, confirmed at enquiry, and the station ties into mixers and conveying lines directly.
Chenxing Machinery builds the loading station for the feeding step in a PVC compounding plant. It sits between material storage and the mixer: bulk storage holds powder, conveying moves it, and this station controls how much goes into the blend at each cycle. That is why it works alongside a silo or day bin on one side and a PVC mixing unit on the other, without taking over the storage or mixing job itself.
The station is built around the jobs an operator actually does every shift:
A dust hood skirt wraps the bag opening, so powder stays under the hood while bags are torn and tipped.
A filter element with pulse cleaning sits above the hopper and clears itself while dumping continues.
A bag tearing grate stops bags, straps and paper scraps from falling into the material.
A vacuum line connection stub lets the station switch from manual dumping to automatic refill.
A panel interlock ties the station to the mixing PLC, so the next batch does not start until the hopper signals ready.
Material flow stays steady because the discharge side is throttled, either by a slide gate, a pneumatic valve or a screw feeder. The operator position and air flow direction are arranged so that the person doing the dumping faces away from the dust stream, which keeps the work area cleaner than an open hopper.
The loading station works in a fixed sequence. Material enters by manual bag dumping or by vacuum automatic refill, then the hood and filter cartridge contain the dust, the hopper meters the material into the discharge, and the outlet drops it to the mixer or compounding system below. A level signal or weighing module tells the PLC when to ask for the next load.
For manual feeding, the operator tears the bag on the grate and lets the powder fall into the hopper throat. The hood draws air and dust upward into the filter element, and pulse cleaning knocks the fines back into the hopper so they are not lost from the batch. For automatic feeding, the station becomes the receiving point for a vacuum line: powder comes in through the vacuum line connection stub, and the same dust control circuit keeps the connection sealed.
The table below lists typical industry reference values. None of them are fixed Chenxing model data, and every figure is confirmed at enquiry before an order.
| Item | Typical industry reference |
|---|---|
| Receiving hopper volume | about 50 to 500 L |
| Feeding method | manual bag dumping, big bag discharge, or vacuum automatic refill |
| Dust control | top filter cartridge with pulse cleaning, dust stays inside the unit |
| Structural material | painted carbon steel, SS304 or SS316 for food grade and chemical duty |
| Discharge options | manual slide gate, pneumatic valve, screw feeder, or weighing module |
| Weighing accuracy with load cells | about +/- 0.1% to 0.2% |
| Vacuum conveying distance | about 20 to 80 m |
| Power supply | 380V 50Hz 3 phase, other voltages on request |
All values above are typical industry reference figures, confirmed at enquiry. The actual hopper size, filter area and discharge configuration depend on the material bulk density, particle size and the downstream mixing cycle. The station is normally matched to a hot and cold mixer or a complete automatic compounding system so that the feed rate follows the mixer cycle.
Sizing starts with the material. PVC powder and dry additives behave differently from recycled fines, so the bulk density and particle size set the hopper volume and the filter area. A station for 500 kg/h of dusty recycled material needs a larger filter element than one feeding clean PVC resin at the same rate.
The second decision is manual or automatic. A manual station only needs space for the operator and the bag table, while an automatic station needs the vacuum line connection stub, a level switch and the PLC signal wiring. The dust extraction airflow is matched to the opening size, not to the hopper volume.
The third input is the downstream mixing rhythm. If the mixer cycles every 8 minutes, the hopper must hold enough material to cover one full batch with a margin. The weighing module, when fitted, is calibrated around the expected batch weight, and span calibration is checked during commissioning.
The loading station shows up wherever PVC dry blending happens ahead of extrusion or recycling. The table below lists the main applications and what the station does in each one.
| Application | What the loading station does |
|---|---|
| PVC Pipe Production | Feeds resin, stabilizer and filler into the compounding line ahead of the pipe extruder |
| PVC Profile Manufacturing | Supplies measured powder batches to the mixer for window and door profile compounds |
| PVC Sheet and Board Production | Handles dusty additives and colorants before the sheet line mixers |
| SPC / WPC Flooring Systems | Meters PVC powder, calcium carbonate and additives for SPC core compounding |
| Plastic Recycling Compounding Lines | Accepts regrind and recycled fines through the hood without raising dust |
In a pipe plant, the station usually sits right before the hot and cold mixer. In an SPC plant it does the same job but with a higher share of filler, which means more dust to control and a heavier filter load. On recycling lines the material is rougher, so the bag tearing grate and the changeover between bag grades become part of the daily routine. For PVC profile shops the station pairs with the profile extrusion line, and for sheet work it feeds a sheet extrusion line with the same dust control point.
Customization is available where it changes the station's fit to a line. The fixed part is the engineering principle.
| Customizable | Fixed |
|---|---|
| Hopper volume and structure for manual loading, automatic loading, small bag dump or big bag discharge | Dust-controlled feeding is the core position of the station |
| Material grade: painted carbon steel, SS304 or SS316 | Filter cartridge dust collection is always part of the design |
| Dust hood and filter element form | The station is always a feeding point, not a mixer or a storage silo |
| Inlet grate and bag tearing bars | |
| Vibrator for bridging materials | |
| Discharge method: slide gate, pneumatic valve, screw feeder or weighing module | |
| Vacuum line connection stub and PLC interlock signals |
A screw feeder can be fitted when the mixer needs a slow, metered add, and a vibrator is added when the material tends to bridge at the hopper throat. If the station must feed two mixers alternately, the discharge is split and the PLC handles the changeover. The automatic compounding system solution page shows how the station slots into a complete compounding line with mixers, conveying and control. What does not change is the dust control: the filter cartridge and the hooded inlet stay in the design because that is the reason a loading station exists.
Chenxing Machinery has run ISO9001 quality management since 2002 and CE certification applies to the machine series. The factory has been building plastic machinery for more than 20 years, and the same quality discipline used on mixers and extrusion lines is applied to the loading station. The auxiliary machines range shows the feeding, conveying and dosing units that are built under the same quality routine.
Each station goes through a documented run-out check before shipment. The inspection list covers the filter element installation and pulse cleaning action, the dust hood seal, the inlet grate and bag tearing bars, the discharge valve and weighing module linkage, and the painted coating on the steelwork. The unit is test run with air flow so the operator can see the dust direction before the machine leaves the shop.
The package includes the inspection report and the certificate of conformity, plus a 1 year warranty on the machine. Installation, commissioning and operator training are available, and Chenxing service engineers support installation work in different countries as part of the global service arrangement.
The minimum order is 1 set, and the lead time is confirmed on the order because it depends on the hopper size, material grade and discharge options. Export packing uses wooden cases or steel frames, with the hopper and the dust control unit separated and braced so the filter element does not get damaged in transit. The plastic pelletizing line and recycling systems follow the same packing rule when they leave the factory.
Trade terms cover FOB, EXW, CFR, CIF and CIP, and payment is by T/T or L/C. The destination port is needed at quotation stage so the freight and packing plan can be sized correctly.
It is the feeding point where PVC powder and additives go into a compounding system. Material enters through a hooded inlet or a vacuum line, dust is caught by a filter cartridge, and the hopper meters it to the mixer below. It belongs to the group of machines that keep the compounding line clean and repeatable.
PVC resin, fillers, stabilizers, pigments, recycled fines and regrind can all pass through the station. The hopper volume, filter area and grate spacing are selected around the bulk density and particle size of each material, confirmed at enquiry. On a PE PP film recycling washing line or a PET bottle crushing washing line, the same station takes the regrind back into the compounding step without spreading dust.
Yes. A dust hood skirt wraps the bag opening and a filter cartridge with pulse cleaning keeps powder inside the unit. That is the core function of the station, not an optional extra.
Yes. A vacuum line connection stub lets the station take powder automatically from a vacuum loader, and a level signal tells the PLC when the next refill is needed. The same station can also be used for manual dumping on other shifts.
It sits between material storage and the mixer, usually right before the hot and cold mixing unit. The exact position depends on the line layout and the downstream mixing cycle. On a pipe plant the same feeding point appears ahead of a pipe extrusion line solution, so the station is always sized to the machine it feeds.
Typical receiving hoppers run from about 50 to 500 L, confirmed at enquiry. The size is set by the batch weight and the mixing rhythm of the downstream line.
Yes. The station is a normal receiving point for vacuum conveying, with a sealed connection stub and the same dust control circuit. Conveying distances of about 20 to 80 m are typical in industry practice, confirmed at enquiry. The powder suction machine family covers the loader side of this arrangement.
Yes. The station sends level and weighing signals to the compounding PLC, so the next batch only starts when the hopper is ready. It is built to work inside an automatic compounding system as the feeding module, ahead of the mixer that blends each batch.
With a weighing module and load cells, typical industry accuracy is about +/- 0.1% to 0.2%, confirmed at enquiry. Without weighing, the station meters by volume and the mixer recipe tolerances handle the rest.
The MOQ is 1 set. Lead time is confirmed on the order because hopper size, material grade and discharge options change the build. Export packing and FOB, EXW, CFR, CIF or CIP terms can be arranged. Delivery questions that are not covered here are collected on the FAQ list page.
