The VDB series single wall corrugated pipe production line is designed for high-speed, continuous extrusion of small-diameter corrugated pipes from PVC, PE, and PP raw materials. Each line integrates a single-screw extruder, vacuum calibration system, mold block forming track, water-cooling tank, haul-off unit, and automatic cutter into one compact, CE-certified production cell delivering uniform wall thickness and consistent corrugation geometry at speeds up to 20 m/min.
With five models covering a combined pipe diameter range of 8–63 mm, the VDB series serves manufacturers supplying wire and cable protection conduits, washing machine drain hoses, vacuum cleaner tubing, ventilation ducts, and automotive fluid lines. Chenxing Machinery has exported VDB lines to over 30 countries, with hundreds of operating installations across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and South America.

The closed-loop mold block track uses hardened steel mold pairs with CNC-machined corrugation cavities. Mold block quantity directly determines line speed: the VDBH63's 90-pair track achieves 20 m/min — double the throughput of the VDB63 at 55 pairs. All molds are interchangeable within the same model, and replacement mold blocks for new pipe diameters can be ordered separately. For manufacturers already running Chenxing pelletizing lines, the same raw material handling workflow applies seamlessly.
The barrier screw design with a 28:1 to 33:1 L/D ratio processes PVC, HDPE, and PP with a single screw configuration. Temperature zones are independently controlled via PID modules — typically 155–175°C for PVC, 180–220°C for HDPE, and 190–230°C for PP — eliminating the downtime and labor cost of screw changes between production batches. Centralized vacuum feeding from a hot-cold mixing unit is recommended for PVC dry-blend preparation.
The pipe exits the mold track into a vacuum calibration sleeve that locks the corrugation geometry before the material fully solidifies. This is followed by a multi-stage water bath — running at 15–25°C — that cools the pipe uniformly to prevent ovality. Unlike our larger double-wall corrugated lines that use air cooling, the VDB water bath is optimized for the thin wall sections (0.5–2.0 mm) typical of small-diameter single wall pipe.
A rotary cutter with servo-driven blade speed synchronization sections pipes to preset lengths without stopping the production line. Length tolerance is ±2 mm for pipes up to 6 meters. The cut-to-length setting is adjusted on the Siemens PLC touchscreen, and the same HMI controls all line parameters — extruder temperatures, screw RPM, haul-off speed, and cutter cycle.
PVC resin is pre-mixed with stabilizers, lubricants, and calcium carbonate filler in a Chenxing hot-cold mixer to produce dry-blend compound. For PE or PP production, virgin granules are fed directly into the extruder hopper via automatic vacuum loader. Up to 20% recycled regrind can be blended with virgin material.
The single-screw extruder heats and melts the material across 5–6 barrel zones. The melt passes through a breaker plate and screen changer into the die head, where it is formed into a tubular parison at a melt temperature of 170–195°C (PVC) or 200–230°C (PE/PP).
The molten parison enters the mold block track, where vacuum pulls the material into the corrugation cavities while internal air pressure maintains the pipe's inner diameter. The mold blocks, traveling on a closed-loop chain, close around the parison and open after the pipe has passed through the initial cooling section — forming uniform corrugations in a continuous cycle.
The formed pipe passes through a water-bath cooling tank that reduces surface temperature to below 40°C. A belt-type haul-off unit pulls the pipe at constant speed, synchronized with the mold block track. The automatic rotary cutter sections the pipe to preset lengths, and finished pipes are collected on a tilting stacking rack.

| Your Requirement | Best Model | Why |
|---|
| Entry-level production, limited budget | VDB25 | Lowest investment, 8 kg/hr for small-batch cable conduit |
| Mid-volume conduit and drain hose | VDB32 | 30 kg/hr, 16–32 mm sweet spot for electrical and appliance markets |
| Standard high-volume production | VDB63 | 100 kg/hr, 55 molds, balance of speed and cost |
| Medium-high output with flexibility | VDBM63 | 150 kg/hr, 80 molds, higher speed with same 20–63 mm range |
| Maximum throughput, 24/7 operation | VDBH63 | 200 kg/hr, 90 molds, fastest VDB model for large export orders |
Combined range across five models: 8–63 mm. VDB25 covers 8–25 mm, VDB32 covers 16–32 mm, and VDB63/VDBM63/VDBH63 each cover 20–63 mm with increasing speed tiers. Mold blocks for different diameters within each model's range are interchangeable.
MOQ is 1 complete production line configured with one set of mold blocks for your target pipe diameter. Additional mold block sets, spare screw elements, and cutting blades can be ordered individually afterward with no minimum quantity.
All VDB lines are CE certified and manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality management. Electrical components are Siemens/Schneider IEC-compliant. For regional certifications such as SASO, SONCAP, or GOST, we supply compliant components during order configuration.
Standard delivery is 50–65 working days from order confirmation. On-site installation and commissioning by Chenxing Machinery engineers takes 7–10 working days. Free remote video guidance is available for buyers using local installation teams.
Yes. The barrier screw design processes all three materials with temperature zone adjustments on the PLC — no screw change required. Switchover between materials takes approximately 30 minutes for purging and temperature stabilization. For PVC, we recommend a hot-cold mixing unit for dry-blend preparation.
24-month warranty on the extruder, mold track, haul-off, and cutter mainframe. 12-month warranty on electrical and electronic components. Lifetime free online technical support is included. Paid on-site service is available within 7 working days globally.
FOB price varies by model, mold configuration, and optional auxiliary equipment. Contact our sales team with your target diameter, monthly output (in meters or tons), and material type for a detailed quotation within 24 hours, including a free CAD factory layout drawing.
Line footprint: 12–22 m x 3 m depending on model. Installed power: 7.5–37 kW at standard 380V/50Hz three-phase. Cooling water circulation rate: 2–5 m³/hr at 15–25°C. Compressed air: 0.6 MPa, 0.3 m³/min. No special foundation requirements — standard concrete floor is sufficient.
All three cover 20–63 mm. VDB63 (55 molds, 100 kg/hr) suits standard production. VDBM63 (80 molds, 150 kg/hr) adds 50% throughput for growing demand. VDBH63 (90 molds, 200 kg/hr) is for high-volume 24/7 operation. The extra mold blocks in higher models also improve corrugation consistency at maximum speed.
Every VDB line runs a full production batch at our Zhangjiagang facility using your specified material and pipe diameter. Buyers attend the factory acceptance test in person or via live video stream. A test report documenting output rate, wall thickness uniformity (±0.05 mm tolerance), and power consumption is included with shipment.
Yes. A masterbatch dosing unit integrated at the extruder feed throat adds color concentrate at 1–4% by weight. For outdoor UV-resistant applications, we recommend 2–3% carbon black masterbatch for HDPE or UV-stabilized PVC compound. Color changeover takes approximately 20 minutes of purging.
Lifetime free online technical support continues after the warranty period. Paid on-site service, spare parts, mold blocks, and process optimization consulting remain available globally. Many VDB customers later expand with Chenxing recycling systems to reprocess production scrap into reusable pellets.
