A PVC production automatic compounding system is a fully automatic material preparation line that conveys, weighs, batches and mixes PVC resin, fillers and additives in one closed flow, feeding a stable dry blend to the extruder. The Chenxing system starts from jumbo bag debagging and raw material silos, meters the main materials and 3 to 10 additive components by weight, mixes them in an SRL-Z style hot and cold mixer group, then distributes the dry blend by screw or pipe-chain conveyor to one or several extrusion lines. Reference dosing accuracy is about ±0.1% to 0.2% at system level, and the reference capacity range runs from about 370 kg/h to 3000 kg/h across the published SRL-Z mixer sizes.
The system is built for plants that prepare their own compound instead of buying ready-made pellets. Once the recipe is stored in the PLC, the operator presses start and the line debags, stores, doses, weighs, mixes and delivers the dry blend without manual scooping or weighing. The main benefits are repeatable formulation, lower labor load, less powder dust in the workshop, and a material stream that matches the pace of the downstream PVC pipe extrusion line or profile line.
Key points of the system:
Fully automatic material conveying, weighing, batching and mixing in one closed flow
High precision weighing and batching, with reference system accuracy around ±0.1% to 0.2%
PLC intelligent control with touch screen and stored recipes
Closed dust free production environment around silos, weighing hoppers and mixers
Capacity and plant layout designed for each project, confirmed at enquiry
For a general look at the same technology applied to other recipes, see the automatic compounding system page or the compounding system solution.
The reference flow follows the order used by most PVC compounding plants:
Jumbo bag debagging and raw material silo storage
Main material weighing for PVC resin and CaCO3
Main material and additive dosing, with powder or liquid additive stations
Automatic mixing in a hot and cold mixer group
Dry blend storage and conveying to the extrusion area
Extrusion line feeding by screw loading or pipe-chain distribution
Each step can be adjusted to the plant layout. The complete flow diagram is normally drawn during the enquiry stage, because silo position, mixer room height and extrusion line distance change the pipe routing. We always confirm these points before quoting.
The values below are typical industry reference figures for this class of system. Exact ratings are confirmed at enquiry after the project parameters are fixed.

Sizing starts from the extruder demand, not from the mixer table alone. If the plant runs two 65 mm PVC pipe lines and one profile line, the required dry blend per hour is calculated first, then a mixer group with enough margin is proposed, and the silo count follows from the daily batch plan and shift hours. We normally collect six inputs before sizing: raw material types, target capacity in kg/h, voltage, frequency and phase, plant layout and silo position, and the number of extrusion lines to be fed. The same logic applies to a PVC UV marble sheet making line or a board sheet extrusion line, where dry blend quality directly affects surface finish. The mixer group always keeps margin above the extruder demand so a normal hot and cold mixer cycle does not slow down the pipe extrusion line.
The system prepares dry blend for any downstream process that needs a consistent PVC compound. Typical applications:
| Application | What the system prepares |
|---|---|
| PVC pipes | Pipe grade dry blend with heat stabilizer and lubricant |
| PVC profiles | Profile compound with impact modifier and process aid |
| PVC sheets and boards | Sheet grade blend with controlled filler loading |
| Panels | Wall panel and ceiling panel compounds |
| SPC / LVT flooring | Wear layer, core and backing formulations |
| WPC | Wood plastic composite formulations |
| Masterbatch | Highly loaded pigment and additive concentrates |
The same mixing unit also handles recycled powder when the recipe allows. Plants that combine compounding with downstream extrusion usually run one system feeding several lines; the dry blend distribution is arranged by screw loading or pipe-chain conveyor so each line receives the same material. The mixing unit page shows the mixer group in more detail, and the powder suction machine and continuous powder suction machine pages cover the material conveying options.
What can be customized for a PVC compounding project:
Production capacity and mixer group size
Number and volume of raw material silos
Number of additive components and their dosing stations
Feeding method, screw feeder, vacuum transfer or pneumatic conveying
Weighing hopper and batch weight range
Plant layout and pipe routing between silos, mixers and extruders
Interface with the existing extrusion lines, including how many lines are fed
PLC recipe count and data interface, Ethernet or RS485
Color marking and housekeeping details requested by the buyer
What stays fixed:
The overall system flow, conveying, weighing, batching, mixing, storage and distribution
The SRL-Z reference series and the published table above
Power supply is customizable but always defined at project confirmation
Customization is discussed during the enquiry stage and written into the layout drawing before manufacture. This is why we ask for plant layout and silo position early. A PVC production automatic compounding system is a closed material preparation line that conveys, weighs, batches and mixes PVC resin, fillers and additives automatically, then feeds a consistent dry blend to the extrusion line.
It includes jumbo bag debagging, raw material silos, main material weighing, multi-component additive dosing, a hot and cold mixer group, dry blend storage and screw or pipe-chain distribution to the extruders.
It handles PVC resin, CaCO3, heat stabilizers, lubricants, impact modifiers, pigments and liquid additives, and can be arranged for recycled powder when the recipe allows.
Reference system accuracy is about ±0.1% to 0.2%, and small additive units up to 50 kg typically hold around ±20 g. These are typical industry reference values, confirmed at enquiry.
The published SRL-Z reference sizes cover roughly 370 kg/h up to 3000 kg/h per mixer group, confirmed at enquiry after the extruder demand is defined.
A typical system meters 3 to 10 additive components, and large systems can be arranged for 8 to 16 dosing stations, confirmed at enquiry.
Yes. After mixing, the dry blend can be distributed by screw loading or pipe-chain conveyor to one or several extrusion lines with the same material quality.
The system is designed as a closed flow, with dust collection at debagging, silo vents and weighing hoppers, so the compounding area stays much cleaner than manual weighing.
A PLC with a touch screen stores 100+ recipes and supports Ethernet or RS485 data logging, confirmed at enquiry for the data interface.
The MOQ is 1 set. Lead time depends on the configuration and is confirmed on the order.
