A fluted wall board extrusion line is a profile extrusion system that turns PVC, WPC, PE or PP dry blend into hollow fluted wall boards, ceiling cladding panels and decorative wall profiles. The line starts with a conical twin screw extruder that plasticizes and compacts the compound, pushes it through a fluted profile die, sizes the board in a vacuum calibration tank, cools it in a water bath, hauls it off and cuts it to length. Typical output runs from about 100 to 500 kg/h depending on profile size and machine variant, confirmed at enquiry, and the PLC keeps screw speed, barrel temperature and line speed in step.
Chenxing Machinery builds the fluted wall board extrusion line for plants that make hollow panel profiles for walls and ceilings. The fluted core saves material and weight, the face skin gives a clean surface, and the same line can switch between PVC and WPC compounds with a recipe change. The operator feeds dry blend from a hot and cold mixing station, and the line downstream of the mixer is one continuous machine chain.
The line is built around the jobs an operator sees every shift:
A conical twin screw extruder with oil and air cooling zones melts the compound without overheating the heat sensitive PVC resin.
A fluted profile die with tuned land length shapes the hollow channels and the face skin.
A vacuum calibration tank holds the profile dimension while spray cooling sets the surface.
A water bath with staged temperature brings the board down evenly without warp.
A caterpillar haul-off with separate top and bottom belts pulls the profile at line speed.
A rotary or flying cutter synchronized with the haul-off cuts the board, and a stacking table collects the lengths.
The screw oil cooler setpoint matters on a long run. Set too low, the melt cools at the feed zone and the screw torque climbs; set too high, the PVC degrades and the face yellows. Chenxing sets the zone temperatures during trial run so the flutes stay open and the surface stays clean at steady output.
The line works in a fixed sequence. Dry blended PVC or WPC compound is fed into the conical twin screw extruder, plasticized and compacted, forced through the fluted profile die, sized in the vacuum calibration tank, cooled in the water bath, pulled by the haul-off unit, cut to length and stacked. The PLC keeps screw speed, barrel temperature and line speed synchronized so the profile leaves the die at a constant rate.
The vacuum level in the calibration tank is set against the profile wall thickness. Thick walls need a stronger hold to keep the flutes from collapsing; thin faces need a softer draw so the surface does not mark. Chenxing checks the vacuum seal on every calibration tank before shipment, and the operator watches the gauge during the first board run.
The table below lists typical industry reference values. None of them are fixed Chenxing model data, and every figure is confirmed at enquiry before an order.

All values above are typical industry reference figures, confirmed at enquiry. The actual output, board width and line speed are matched to the profile drawing and the daily output target of each plant.
The line is a straight chain from the extruder to the stacker, and each station has a defined job:
The conical twin screw extruder is the melting and pumping heart, sized against the die opening and the required output.
The fluted profile die distributes the melt across the full board width, with land length tuned to wall thickness so the flow is even.
The vacuum calibration tank pulls the profile onto the sizing tool and sprays cooling water, setting the width and the flute shape.
The cooling bath runs a staged temperature gradient so the board releases internal stress gradually.
The caterpillar haul-off grips the profile without crushing the hollow flutes and matches the extruder output.
The cutting unit follows the haul-off signal and cuts board lengths on the fly.
The stacking table tilts and collects the boards for manual or automated palletizing.
Optional stations add value on the same line. A co-extrusion unit lays a cap layer on the face, an embossing roller prints a wood grain or brushed texture, and a film lamination station applies a decorative foil. Each option is confirmed at enquiry because it changes the line length and the lead time.
The fluted wall board line owns the hollow panel segment of the profile market. It makes fluted wall board for interior partitions, ceiling cladding panels for suspended ceilings, decorative wall panels for living rooms and shops, and structural profiles for door frames.
| Application | What the line produces |
|---|---|
| Interior wall panels | Fluted wall board and decorative panels with hollow core |
| Ceiling cladding | Ceiling cladding panels, typical width 100 to 200 mm |
| uPVC windows and doors | Window and door frame profiles on the same extruder class |
| WPC decking and fencing | WPC profiles with wood flour content for outdoor use |
| Electrical and telecom | Flame retardant profiles for cable trunking and raceway |
The same extruder class runs pipe profiles too, so a plant can add a PVC pipe extrusion plants line or a pipe extrusion line planning project beside the wall board line, and the downstream auxiliary line equipment can be shared with other profile lines. Chenxing supplies the profile line engineering know-how and the profile extrusion line solutions for the whole profile range, and the application gallery shows how these lines are laid out in real plants.
Customization is available where it changes the line's fit to a product range. The fixed part is the engineering principle: a conical twin screw extruder pushes compound through a die, and downstream units size, cool and cut the profile.
| Customizable | Fixed |
|---|---|
| Profile cross section via the fluted die | Conical twin screw extrusion is the core of the line |
| Board width, thickness and flute geometry | Vacuum calibration and water cooling stay in the line |
| Line speed and output level | The die, extruder and haul-off are sized as one set |
| PLC brand option with branded drives and components | The line is a profile machine, not a general sheet line |
| Co-extrusion cap layer, embossing, film lamination | The extruder melts and pumps, it does not mix the compound |
| Voltage, frequency and phase |
A plant making ceiling panels runs a narrower die and a faster haul-off. A plant making thick structural wall boards runs a bigger extruder and a slower line. The die is the main change point, and Chenxing confirms the profile drawing before quoting the line.
Chenxing Machinery has run ISO9001 quality management since 2002 and CE certification applies to the machine series. The factory has been building plastic machinery for more than 20 years, and the fluted wall board line is assembled under the same routine as the board sheet extrusion machinery and the rest of the PVC dry blend compounding range.
Each line goes through a documented run-out check before shipment. The barrel and screw are checked for hardening and wear condition, the die face is polished and measured, the calibration tank vacuum seal is tested, the water bath temperature zones are verified, and the cutter blade dwell is set against the haul-off speed. The line is trial run with the customer profile sample where possible, so the operator sees the board dimension and the surface finish before the machines leave the shop.
The package includes the inspection report and the certificate of conformity, plus a 1 year warranty on the machine. Larger projects can be arranged through the EPC turnkey project program, and details about the factory profile are available on the site.
The minimum order is 1 line, and the lead time is 30 to 40 days per the source listing, confirmed on the order because the die, extruder size and optional units change the build. Export packing uses stretch film and wooden pallets, with the extruder, die, calibration tank and control panel separated and braced so the die face and the vacuum seals are not damaged in transit. Machine brochures are packed with each unit, and commissioning notes cover the vacuum level and the cutter timing.
Trade terms cover FOB, EXW, CFR, CIF and CIP, and payment is by T/T or L/C. The destination port is needed at quotation stage so the freight and packing plan can be sized correctly.
